Chicago Illinois Invitational Tournament Rules
NFHS and IHSA rules except:
HS (2) 16 minute halves.
Elementary school (2) 14 minute halves.
First two overtimes are 2 minutes. Third overtime will be sudden death.
Clock stops on all whistles for both levels.
The clock will run continuously if a team is up by 20 pts or more in the second half, except during a time out.
The game will end at the 2:00 mark in the second half if a team is up 20 pts or more.
Each team will have (2) timeouts per half. (1min). The timeouts do not carry over.
Teams will be allowed 10 teams fouls before entering into the bonus situation 1 & 1 rule. No two shot fouls.
Game time is forfeit time. Be at your venue at least 30min before game time.
A team may start a game with four players.
The team listed first is the home team and responsible for providing the game ball.
Technical files equal two points plus the ball. No shots are taken.
If a player is ejected he must sit out the team’s next game.
If a coach or assistant coach is ejected he may not come back and coach the rest of the tournament.
No unsportsmanlike conduct or fighting will be tolerated by the coaches, players, or fans. We will ask you the leave the venue. Any teams fighting will be dismissed from the tournament. This includes abusive speech toward the officials and score table personnel.
Tie-breakers
1. Head to head
2. Point Differential (15 points max on wins and losses)
3. Coin toss
4. Whoever paid their entry fee first
